Cultivated Hotels

An elegant identity for a quietly ambitious concept.

The problem?

An ambitious hotel concept with no identity; and a high-stakes investor pitch looming.

The solution?

A confident, design-led brandmark, supported by clear guidelines and a polished City-ready pitch deck.

The outcome?

Though the venture didn’t go forward, the work remains a strong example of early-stage brand clarity; and a foundation others could build on.

James from Hotel Makers approached us with a clear brief: a refined, design-led identity for a new boutique hotel venture; Cultivated Hotels. The aim was to appeal to a discerning audience who value quiet sophistication over noise.

We developed a range of identity options, but one stood out instantly. Confident, minimal and understated, the chosen brandmark captured the essence of considered luxury; calm, modern, and deeply intentional.

To strengthen the presentation, we recommended a concise set of brand guidelines. This helped articulate not just the logo, but the entire tone of the brand — layout, voice, colours and presentation. It also helped the team present their vision consistently as they moved toward investor conversations.

Finally, we designed a pitch deck for City-based investors. With a background in corporate print, this was a natural fit, and we delivered something sharp, elegant and well structured.

Although the venture was ultimately shelved and Hotel Makers was voluntarily dissolved in April 2025, the identity remains a piece of work we’re proud of. It’s a great example of how even early-stage concepts benefit from clarity, restraint and the confidence of well-crafted design.

We’re now able to share more of the brand system, including the logo, cover, guidelines and selected spreads from the pitch.
